I am an abstract artist based at the southern tip of Africa, deeply inspired by the natural world around me, with its stark existence next to a busy, man-made world.
This initiates conversations between tranquillity and turmoil, organic and the geometric in my work. Through being introspective and observant of this everevolving state, nature doesn’t just influence my work, but grounds it. It acts as both my subject and collaborator.
I hold a BA in Fine Arts, majoring in traditional Graphic Art, including disciplines such as fine art etching, lithography, monoprinting, and serigraphy. I work intuitively, allowing the brush to respond to both what I see and what I feel.

Memory and emotion are expressed through layers of colour, shapes, and texture. Sometimes, I incorporate natural materials, such as sand or pigment-rich earth, to bring the outdoors into the canvas itself.
